Hash Trash

...everything that has happened at the hash.

The Shopping Hash

What shopping hash?, may be the question most hashers will be asking themselves.

It was a new and modern way of setting a Hash. I'm not sure if it was meant to be like that, and even less sure if anybody actually understood it, and for that matter took part.

I am told, that is because I was amongst those who did not find and understand the trail.... it had been set digitally. How is that? Well

Out of Africa

Stevie Blunder was the Hare and it was a live run...the Hashers probably should have thought when they gave him such a head start - but instead they chatted outside the restaurant for a good ten minutes allowing Stevie to leave more false trails than you could ever imagine!

The Hashers did eventually set off and after about 15 minutes and several false trails they were well and truly stuck! They

Labyrinth Hash

This was meant to be the first hash after the summer holidays. A gentle stroll to get back into shape and ready for the new Hashing season.

As usual most people turned up late, worst of all the hare who had to set the live trail. It was Cindy Bear's turn. We were all a bit worried because last time he set a live trail was out of action for 4 months due to a twisted ankle. This was caused before

AWOL Hash

AWOL hash

It was established early on that there was much confusion regarding the meaning of the hash. Has Peeman gone AWOL? Who is this AWOL character? We were joined by our Sunday GM, S+M, dressed appropriately in head to toe hashing gear who kindly sorted us out.

We were led through the wilds of Parco Nord and sometimes through the bushes and trees, over bridges and along sandy lanes. Cindy Bear

Lakes of Baggio

We met in the restaurant car park on the edge of town, the turnout was pretty good and included some Hash veterans in Sofa, Tonedeaf and Fabiulus. Cindy had decided to Hash on two wheels due his sprained ankle - which should not be confused with his uncle who's apparently doing just fine.

Pluvius Erectus Maximus and Skinflick were running slightly late so we decided to set off without them - sure

Independence Hash

All future hares will feel intimidated with the prospect of improving the hash we have just experienced. The location was first class, and although we have been there on several occasions, local knowledge plus some orienteering skills took us through parts which I personally have never seen before. How that could have been still baffles me...

Well since this is a hash write up I have to stick to

The Beer Relay

Rumours were circulating regarding a possible cancellation due to the disastrous weather forecast. Personally that did not effect me too much, since from my side of the world the sky was clear and dry. 2 minutes into my trip.... where is the RA when you need him....

To my amazement there were at least 50 people congregated under the biggest tree in Parco Lambro, which made it look more like a

Not one of the biggest turn out... in fact there were only 4 of us, two of which new comers who not only were short on alternatives but had not ever even heard of hashing.

Never-the-less with such a non encouraging start the hash was not bad at all. This being Ms Bean's play ground, she diligently took us in parts of Milan which looked like anything but.... places where you are most likely to meet

The Towel Hash did not have the most promising start since the directions given did not lead to the promised land of Pizzeria Strippolli and in fact to a rather plain, grey apartment block offering no sort of sustenance to a wandering traveller at all. 'Don't Panic', following two phone calls to the hare and a lot of walking around I stumbled across Pluvius Erectus Maximus, who, with the help of

The Double B-Day Hash

The B-Day hash promised to be twice the hash.
It did not start well; many turned up late, those that did turn up early had a snoop round the area to unfairly impress other runners... The turnout was the biggest yet this year.  Far too big for us to give reliable numbers.
The initial discussions were on what the B stood for... Bouncing, Ballet, Bonking, Bombastic. What put most people off was that
